D-Day Journal

William Golding was affected by being a part of D-Day because he witnessed so many people die that day, most of them were people he knew. He saw horrible crimes being committed. Also, the images of the dead soldiers he saw that day will forever be with him.  Golding questioned the goodness of mankind because he witnessed people violently killing other people. He viewed merciless acts in which he will never forget.
I think that man is born with goodness and learns to be barbaric. I think this because of experience, because I have known people that used to be very kind, then as they grew older, they became more mean and a bit barbaric. Babies aren't born with the desire to kill, they have no idea what that even is. Babies are good when they are first born, then when they start to grow older, they become more troublesome. I mean wouldn't it be crazy if babies came out the womb with an automatic desire to kill, or be bad?
