Beastie

    The littluns think that the beastie is a snake. Ralph feels like the beastie is all the littluns imagination, or nightmares, and it doesn’t exist. Piggy doesn’t believe that the beastie exists. Simon thinks that it is "them", and he feels that all people can be mean or evil. Jack however, doesn’t care about what it is, he just cares about killing it.

    I think that the bestie, if it even exists is one of the boys trying to scare the other boys. The beastie could also be the littluns trying to scare the older boys. I think that it might be the littluns because they seem to keep talking about it, and trying to get the older boys to believe them. The beastie could just be some type of animal. To be completely honest, I think that the beastie doesn’t exist, and it is just one of the boys. I honestly think that the "beastie" could just be Simon walking through the woods in search of a place of seclusion and beauty instead of being an actual animal. The littluns may get a glance at Simon when he is walking, and think that he is a beast of some kind. Simon may tell the boys that he thinks that beastie is "them" because he feels like the boys are acting like beasts.
