Ch.4

                                                                                                 Dear Diary,

          Ralph and I spotted a ship in the distance, however it was too late for them to see us. The reason the ship didn’t see us on the island was because the signal fire was out. Sam and Eric were supposed to be tending the fire. Ralph and I found out that Jack took Sam and Eric hunting with them because Jack needed them to complete the hunting circle. We was upset by this, so when Jack came back from hunting, we confronted him. Jack said that he didn’t care because they finally killed their first pig.

          The boys decided to throw a feast because the hunters killed a pig and got us meat. Every single boy got meat except for me, and this caused me to get mad. Jack said that the reason he didn’t give me meat was because I am already fat enough, and I didn’t help hunt so I shouldn’t get any. I think Jack is lying, and the reason I didn’t get any is because he doesn’t like me for some reason. This made me really mad, and I stood up to Jack and told him that Ralph, and Simon, and some of the other boys didn’t help hunt so why did they get meat.

        Jack got mad at me for saying this, and he punched me in the stomach. Then he slapped me and broke one of the lenses on my specs. However, Simon shared his meat with me. I think that this situation could cause future problems between me, Jack, and Ralph. I feel like Jack is going to try to take Ralph's spot as leader because he thinks so highly of himself just because he killed one pig.
